Differences between Networking Devices

Router
Connecting one network to another networks while managing routing for data packet between them.
Layer 3 - Network of OSI

Bridge
Divide a network into two segments but still connecting them, reducing the amount of traffic.
Inspects each incoming Ethernet frame, including the source and destination MAC addresses, and sometimes the frame size in making individual forwarding decisions.
Layer 2 - Data Link of OSI


Swicth
Connecting multiple device on a network using unicast, information can be transformation directly to the destination.

Hub
Connecting multiple device on a network using broadcast, meaning will transfer information to all connected devices.
